    The Legend of Cirebon tells the story of a fisherman who lived in a village surrounded by sea. One day, while fishing, he caught an unusually large shrimp. He brought it home to cook for his wife, and after eating it they went to sleep. The next day when he went fishing again he could not find any more large shrimp. Suddenly, a large wave crashed into his home, filling it with water and small shrimp. Both the fisherman and his village were destroyed. After this accident, the place became known as Cirebon, combining the words for water (ci) and small shrimp (rebon) in the local language.

    The Legend of Cirebon

    Cirebon, in the past is village around by sea. Once upon a time, there was a villager. He is a fisherman. He went to sea tor fishing.he would cacthed fish. When he cacth the fish, he found a rebon. But size of rebon is big. And he bring rebon and many fish to his home. Then he give a big rebon to his wife for cook. After rebon cook, thwy were ate the rebon. And after full, they were sleep. The next day, he went to sea again. He hope can get the big rebon again. But the real is nothing. He was sad, because he not geting big rebon again. Suddenly, he heard a wave voice geting closer to his home. When he look that, he was way by sea water that full of rebon. The fisherman was die, and the village is brock. After the accident, peoples called the place CIREBON. Ci is water, and rebon is small shrimp.
