Dear Mayor Jim Watson, Councillor Maria McRae and Members of City Council As a result of recent discussions with the City of Ottawa senior staff and a commitment by City staff to share and discuss information regarding the Citys current waste management initiative with Plasco, the Ontario Waste Management Association (OWMA) is rescinding our letter sent to Mayor Jim Watson, Councillor Maria McRae and Members of Council dated November 28th, 2011. In future, the Association commits to seek additional background information on solid waste matters of interest to the mandate of OWMA and will present these to the appropriate governing body prior to taking a position.
