Standard Operating Procedures: Team Orange Base setup 1. Use LS1 B and Spectrometer C 2.

Attach the marked end fiber optic cable 1 (foc1) to LS1 B, do not screw in. 3. Attach the other end to the non set screw side of the base and screw in all the way. 4. Attach the marked end of foc2 to the set screw side of the base and do not screw in. 5. Attach the other end to spectrometer C and screw in all the way. 6. You can adjust the amount that the foc is pushed into the LS to try to increase counts to about 60,000. 7. Do not insert filters yet. SpectraSuite setup 1. Open excel files: Color value readings from Spectrasuite.xlsx on email and CIE Color Space.xlsx from Blackboard under Assignments Week 8. 2. Set integration time to 4ms. 3. Turn LS on and press the store reference button for the lit bulb. (Button is lit bulb) 4. Turn off LS and and press store reference button for dark bulb. (Button is dark bulb) 5. Turn LS back on and put in filter revolver. Start with red. 6. Click T button for transmission, then click pause. 7. Copy spectral data to clipboard. (Button is two stacked pieces of paper) Data recording 1. When you paste the data, there will be two columns, the first is the wavelengths and the second is the data we actually need. 2. Paste into first column (wavelengths) of Color value readings from Spectrasuite.xlsx 3. Turn revolver to green and play and pause again and copy. 4. Paste into first green column. 5. Turn revolver to blue and play and pause again and copy. 6. Paste into first blue column. 7. Repeat steps 1-5 twice more. When you paste the second data sets, paste into columns C, N and Y and just select the column that the data is actually in and copy it into those columns. Do the same for the third but with columns D, O and Z. 8. Save the spreadsheet to your email or a flashdrive. Color data 1. Copy column H into the %T column of CIE Color Space.xlsx (Make sure to right click and select paste special values) 2. Record x,y,z chromaticity values in your lab notebook. 3. Repeat for columns I, J, S, T, U, AD, AE, AF 4. Take system apart and put it back in the box.
