LGPs TMA solutions consist of a wide variety state-of-the-art products designed to be installed outdoor in towers or in the BTS cabinet. The main design criteria have been to maximise product reliability, electrical performance and to minimise size and weight. LGPs products have a vented design to cope with the hardest of environmental conditions and temperature changes. A TMA unit comprises high Q band-pass filters, low noise amplifier (LNA) in a balanced configuration, current extractor and a LNA bypass circuit. The unique patented mechanical design has all electronics integrated within the filter body. This combined with the ventilation system gives the unique field proven LGP reliability. Lightning protection is implemented on all ports. A micro processor based system supervises parametres such as current consumption on each RF transistor, input voltage, VSWR and data communication to the BTS. Products are available for all systems within the 450-2200 MHz frequency band. Todays generation of LGP TMAs are available in gain versions from 12-33 dB and some with adjustable gain.

High performance design for new generations

LGP state-of-the-art TMAs are designed based on LGP unique system knowledge including 3GPP specification and co-location with other systems. The invaluable system knowledge has been achieved from around half a million TMA installations world wide with billions of hours in field. Feedback from the market together with the precise work from R&D has resulted in a wide spectrum of TMAs for 3G networks. Below a small selection can be found. Twin TMA where two units are combined into one. You only need one TMA per sector instead of two. TMA with extremely compact design and superior performance within 1.5 litres of volume. Current injector with VSWR monitoring of the antenna system. For maximum reuse of existing 2G infrastructure when building infrastructure for 3G, LGP also provides low loss high quality co-siting filter products such as Diplexers and Triplexers. The TMA product line also includes accessories like Duplex filters, Power Distribution Units (PDUs), Current Injectors (CINs) and Multi pack mounting plates. LGP offers complete solutions for todays networks and future networks.

Duplex filter The LGP Filter product line comprises Duplex Filters for combining receive and transmit signals to a common port and Diplex Filters for combining 800/900 MHz and 1800/1900 MHz base stations or 2G and 3G basestations to a common port. All filters have built-in lightning protection of the BTS and the Power Distribution Unit. There are models for both indoor- and outdoor installations. For installations where TMAs are used, filters with DC transparency are available. This product family supports base stations with built-in TMA power and supervision functionality. LGP supplies standard and custom designed high performance RF filters for all frequencies. For other filter types e.g. Triplexers and other co-siting products, please refer to the LGP co-siting brochure.
PDU Lite, indoor rack

Duplex filter with DC transparency

Power distribution unit (PDU) LGP PDU Lite provides power to and supervises the status of the LGP Tower Mounted Amplifiers. PDU Lite enables TMA installations to be carried out on a per sector basis and supports all common site configurations. The PDU Lite family is based on a module that supports two TMAs, i.e. one sector with diversity. If the site comprises two sectors or more, modules are added and daisy chained together. PDU Lite is available in indoor and outdoor versions and supports wall, pole or 19"rack mounting. PDU Lite has isolated input and output ports that cater for polarity independent DC supply. This combined with the compact size and multiple mounting options, ensures that PDU Lite can be used with the vast majority of base station equipment. Current Injector (CIN) The LGP TMA family is powered by DC via the feeder cable. In order to inject this DC voltage to the cable at the base station, LGP has developed a range of Current Injectors (CIN), also known as Bias Tees. LGP CINs are available for indoor- and outdoor installations. There are also models with built in VSWR monitoring and alarm function. A special version with a right angle oriented connector for installation inside base station cabinets with limited depth behind the doors is available. All LGP CINs have high performance lightning protection circuits to protect the BTS and the PDU. Multi pack mounting plate The LGP Multi pack provides a flexible and compact mounting solution for fast and easy installation of multiple TMAs. The Multi pack is available for mounting two, three, four or six TMAs in a compact cluster with low visibility. TMA Multi pack brackets support with wall and pole mount.
