ENGEN HEAVY FURNACE OIL

DESCRIPTION Engen Heavy Furnace Oil, generally referred to as HFO, is a heavy, black residual fuel designed specifically for use in high heat release applications such as furnaces and boilers as well as for large, slow speed compression ignition engines as found in marine or stationary units. APPLICATION Engen Heavy Furnace Oil is often used in high volume industrial heat fuel applications such as steam and hot water boilers (other than domestic), a variety of furnaces and kilns as well as very large drying operations. Major applications are found in brickworks, the cement, ceramic and glass industry, metal and ore smelting, and the asphalt industry, BENEFITS Cheapest petroleum fuel available - gives most heat per litre at lowest cost. Readily stored - occupies half the space of coal for equivalent heat content. Easily handled, regulated and controlled. Less maintenance than coal-fired equipment. Less labor required than with coal, no stoking, ash removal or conveyors required. Less capital expenditure than equivalent coal plant. Clean operation - no fly ash or dust problems, easy smoke control. Longer furnace and boiler life; less depreciation.
