Major concern in todays world!!!!

What is Pollution?
Pollution is the introduction of contaminants into a natural environment that causes instability, disorder, harm or discomfort to the ecosystem i.e. physical systems or living organisms. Pollution can take the form of chemical substances or energy, such as noise, heat or light.

Most of the common reason for our environment pollution includes human activities such as improper garbage disposal system and high smoking chimneys from factories.

Air pollution Light pollution Noise pollution Soil pollution Thermal pollution Water Pollution

Global Warming
A Major Concern

Global warming refers to the rising average temperature of Earth's atmosphere and oceans and its projected continuation

Green House Gases The greenhouse effect is the process by which absorption and emission of infrared radiation by gases in the atmosphere warm a planet's lower atmosphere and surface. It was proposed by Joseph Fourier in 1824 and was first investigated quantitatively by Svante Arrhenius in 1896. Particulates and soot Global dimming, a gradual reduction in the amount of global direct irradiance at the Earth's surface, has partially counteracted global warming from 1960 to the present. The main cause of this dimming is particulates produced by volcanoes and human made pollutants, which exerts a cooling effect by increasing the reflection of incoming sunlight. The effect Solar variation Variations in solar output have been the cause of past climate changes. The effect of changes in solar forcing in recent decades is uncertain, but small, with some studies showing a slight cooling effect, while others studies suggest a slight warming effect.

Global warming has a very harmful effect on our environment. The continuous rise in temperature of earth has resulted in melting of ice at the polar areas. This will cause increase in sea level and landmass would start submerging in water. Humans will not be able to tolerate this rise in temperature and they will start dying.

Various steps can be taken to prevent global warming: Environment friendly fuels should be used Direct ejecting of harmful gases should not be performed in factories and other areas Unleaded fuels should be used

Some of these measures if used properly can lead to a safe future for the upcoming generations
