Customers of DELL are attracted by the concept of DELL, with its broad range of exclusive, high quality products.

Basically, a DELL customer wants to enjoy the combination of the image, the quality and the innovation of the DELL brand. The target market for DELL is students, employees and small businessmen those have no other options to go for a new laptop with lots of features. Because other laptops in the market got lots of lacking for these type of people. They have to sacrifice specifications or price for those laptops. We got the best deal with our laptop. We got the best specification with the best price. This target market is expected all people that are enrolled in college students from ages 18 and up. Dell will also target the business professional. some examples of business professional are the usually the consumers that work at a corporate office. With the help of market segmentation the total market is divided into different segments. With this information, the company eventually knows where to find customers and potential customers and how to attract them. The Segmentation will be based on a combination of demographical, psycho-graphical, behavioral and geographical criteria Demographical criteria In Bangladesh, now a days Laptop use is part of daily living. From teenager to senior, from regular working class to CEO, male or female, almost every person with a middle or high income is a potential consumer of DELL. Psycho-graphical criteria A DELL customer stands in the middle of the ever changing society with self-conscience and self-confidence. This person considers him- or herself a dynamic person with an eye for style and taste and is willing to pay extra for something which fits this image. In Bangladesh, these people can be found within the groups of students, (young) urban professionals, tourists and modern-thinking (retired) seniors and all higher educated. When applying benefit segmentation, people can be divided in groups in which people share certain product advantages. For DELL, these are: variety, exclusiveness, quality and social status. People who like to try new tastes, who like to be given a wide range of possibilities and who like to be seen in a dynamic, international environment, will most likely not choose laptops with lower specifications and non-brand. They will probably choose DELL.

Nevertheless, there are still lots people in Bangladesh who are unfamiliar with the DELL brand. Considering people with no DELL laptops experience, it is important to question their will to purchase a DELL product. In Bangladesh, people willing to try new things without arguing the price are, again, well-educated people with relative high incomes. An important factor for people in this group is the time and will to visit their nearest DELL store.
