Service Room Spotlight

AND REMEMBER IN ALL THINGS THE POOR AND THE NEEDY... D&C 52:40

A Monthly Publication of the Boise Humanitarian Service Room - Volume 2, Issue 12 - December, 2011

Somehow in the magic of the Christmas season, there is less of hate and more of love, there is less of greed and more of giving, there is less of indifference and more of gratitude. If only for a brief season, we are inclined to lay aside our selfishness and reach out to help others. We see this all around us in the generous outpouring of kindness in behalf of those in need and pain and distress. We are more inclined to step beyond the narrow confines of our self-centered routines and reach out to help others less fortunate. He Who Redeemed Us, First Presidency Christmas Devotional, Salt Lake
Tabernacle, December 3, 1995
BELOW: Members of the Coppercloud Ward, Meridian Paramount Stake participated in a Christmas celebration which included a project of collecting Christmas gifts for those in need. Clothing, boots, hygiene items, toys, underwear, socks and other items were delivered to the Service Room by Brother and Sister Jones. More than 100 beautifully wrapped gifts will be gratefully received by refugee families in our area. Thank you so much for your generosity!
