How do I get involved in School Sports?

1) Speak with your Physical Education teacher about your interest and they will guide you in the right direction or call the Athletic Department at OHS. 2) Sign up with the school nurse each season prior to sports participation. For Medical Clearance, you must have a physical exam on file that has been done within 12 months of when the sport starts, and complete 3 forms which may be picked up at the Nurses Office. 3) Any student that is academically eligible (see Academic Success Program) in grades 7-12 may tryout for an interscholastic team. 4) There are 3 sport seasons and you can only participate on one team each season. If you do not make a team through the tryout selection you may tryout for another team during that sport season. 5) Sport offerings are listed by season and level on our website. 6) We offer teams at the modified level (7/8th grade teams), Junior Varsity (9/10th grade teams), and Varsity (11/12th grade teams). However, students with exceptional athletic ability may participate on upper level teams. AMD students need to pass the selection classification test--see link on website.
