GEOGRAPHY AND LEADERS

Welcome to Republic of Macedonia. Macedonia is in Europe. Is a small country located in the central Balkan peninsula in Southeast Europe. It is one of the successor states of the former Yugoslavia, from which it declared independence in 1991. The neighbouring countries of macedonia are Greece, Albania, Kosovo, Serbia and Bulgaria. Has got 2,022,547 people( the therd part of this live in Skopje, the capital). The president of Macedonia is Gjorge Ivanov, and the prime minister is Nikola Gruevski.

THE FLAG
The flag of Macedonia is red and has got a yellow sunny with eight yellow rays. The new eight-rayed sun represents "the new sun of Liberty" referred to in the national anthem of the Republic of Macedonia, Denes nad Makedonija ("Today over Macedonia").

RELIFE
Macedonia hasnt got sea. Is a country with a lot of mountains forming a valley . The most important mountain is the Mount Korab ( 2764m). Mount Korab is frontier of Macedonia and Albania.

Macedonia has got three important lakes: the lake Ohrid the lake Prespa

the Dojran lake.
