    Honda was founded in 1948 in Tokyo, Japan by Soichiro Honda. In 1949, Honda produced its first motorcycle called the "Dream". Honda began selling motorcycles in the United States in 1959 and entered Formula One racing in 1964. Soichiro Honda retired in 1973, and Honda returned to Formula One racing in 1983. Honda introduced the first ever air bag system in motorcycles in 2007.
