    SPELLING OF PRESENT TENSE CONTINUOUS

    1. Verbs ending in e, drop e and add ING (verbele terminate in e, renunta la e si adauga ING): to have having to drive - driving to make - making to save - saving

    2. Verbs ending in ie, turn ie into y and add ING (verbele terminate in ie transforma ie in y si adauga ING): to die dying to lie lying to tie tying 3. Verbs ending in a consonant followed by only one stressed vowel, double the final consonant begore ING (verbele terminate intr-o consoana precedata de o singura vocala accentuata, dubleaza consoana inainte de sufixul ING): to begin beginning to get getting to prefer preferring
