    5th Grade Dear parents

    Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!


    Science
    In Science we nished studying the human body. Our last project was about how physical activity helps us live healthy lives. We have already started with a new theme: Soluciones ambientales. Students completed their rst lesson and project talking about the way we interact with the environment.

    Lectura
    We have nished our reading number 14, called Dos tierras, un corazon. We are learning the verbs (past, present and future) in one of our stations. As well, in order to encourage students to use just Spanish, we have a new points system. When they are caught talking in Spanish to each other, they gain a point. Each 5 points, they can choose: funny picture, little movie or a drawing.

    Math
    We have done the test about statistic, data and graphs, and median, statistical mode, range and average. We continue working on the facts (multiplication, multiplication with decimals, addition and subtraction with and without decimals and division). Our next lessons are about fractions.
