FOREWORD 0.1 This Indian Standard ( Part IIL) was adopted by the Indian Standards Institution on 17 July 1967, after the draft finalized by the Screw Threads and Fasteners Sectional Committee had been approved by the Mechanical Engineering Divison Council. 0.2 Consequent upon the decision of ISI to adopt the ISO metric sorew threads for use in Indian Industries, this Institution is preparing from time to time the standards relating to ISO metric screw threads. In view of the recent adoption of unitary system of tolerances for ISO meric screw threads at the international level by ISO/TC | Screw Threads, it has become necessary to revise and enlarge the earlier standards, 1S :1330- 1958* and IS: 1362-19624. 0.3 This standard is being issued in different parts as under: Part I Basic and design profiles Part II Pitch diameter combinations Part ILL Basie dimensions for design profiles Part IV.
