From the Director

With our full-time MBA programme ranked number one in the world by the Financial Times, 2010 has been a great year for London Business School and I am delighted to share with you the MBA Employment Report 2010. 91% of our MBA2010 graduates found employment within 3 months of graduating, a ten percentage point increase on the MBA2009 class. This highlights the increasing demand for our graduates across the globe. Its a great achievement considering the significant impact that the global recession has had on the recruitment market in the past couple of years and a testament to our graduates, recruiters, alumni and the Career Services team as 80% found their roles through the School community. 43% of the MBA 2010 graduates will be working outside the United Kingdom, reflecting their diversity. Career Services relationships with recruiters worldwide have been strengthened through our business development activity, new careers events including the first Middle East Careers Week and Finance and Consulting Networking Evening - and regional treks to locations including New York, Dublin, Paris, Switzerland and Shanghai. These not only encourage face-to-face interaction between recruiters and students but also allow us to reconnect with alumni. Financial Services remains the most popular career choice for students with 38% of graduates finding jobs in that sector, closely followed by 37% in Industry and 25% in Consulting. As technology and social media play an ever-increasing role in our lives, the interest in working in such areas has also grown. 6% of our graduates have found roles in technology/telecommunications - now the most popular sector within Industry. We are grateful to the recruiters that continue to engage with London Business School and value these relationships. We will build on the success and further increase our international networks with employers across all sectors in the future. Kind regards

Fiona Sandford Director, Career Services London Business School www.london.edu/recruitourtalent
