Some people would visit to make fishing boats and stay for days or months, causing their wives to become jealous. Over time, families began staying in the area. The residents held a meeting to name the place, first calling it Punducan meaning a group staying in one place, but later changed it to Bunducan to reflect the mountains and trees covering the land.

    HISTORY OF BUNDUCAN

    Long time ago, before bunducan was named. It is only a simple place covered by different trees and mountains. No one lived at this place because it is too far from the proper of Pio V. Corpuz, but even though there was also some people who visited this place. There was also some people who come in this place just to can be used in making of fishing boats. They stay in this place for several days and sometimes by months. That s why their wives jealous of them, their wives didn t want them to go back, unless they go with them too. And their husband have no choice but to carry their family in that place. Time goes by, they noticed that they didn t know the name of the place was, that s why they conducted a meeting and vote for the right name of the place and they call the place as PUNDUCAN meaning a group of people stay in one place, but later on they are not satisfied with the name they created, so they think again for another name that best suit in the place and they call it BUNDUCAN because the place was covered by different big mountains and trees.
