OVERVIEW

DL TCP Performance with TCP Window Size variation:

Single User activity in Loaded condition Good SINR Condition (~20dB) TCP DL with Iperf application

Objective: to obtain high throughput as possible with the variation of TCP window size (65K / 128K / 256K / 512 K). TCP Window size is modified using DrTCP utility.

L1 Throughput extracted from UE vendor 2 tool (LLDM). Throughput increases as the TCP window size increase.

Throughput comparison with UDP session (~58 Mbps vs. 57 Mbps with 512K TCP Window size).

SUMMARY
Higher throughput is achieved with larger TCP window size (512K). Average throughput performance is comparable with the DL UDP throughput. TCP Window size 512K is recommended to be used in all throughput related test.
