    A Canadian snubber working on a rig in Iran witnessed a blowout on a nearby well operated by the same Iranian national oil company. While pulling out of the hole, the other rig took a kick and went pipe light instead of snubbing as a precaution. They attempted to solve the problem by bullheading kill mud into the annulus, which caused a blowout as seen in the attached pictures showing debris scattered around the site.     Blowout in Iran

    These pictures were taken by a Canadian snubber in Iran. He was working on a nearby rig, snubbing on a live well. The same Iranian NOC, was running both rigs. They had the same well control problems on both wells, but decided running 2 snubbing units was too expensive, so opted not to snub out of hole on the well that blew out. While POOH they took a kick. They went pipe light, and to solve the problem, started bullheading kill mud into the annulus! The results can be seen below. The snubber heard the well next to his had blown out, so he drove over to see what had happened. He walked around taking pictures while the Company Rep and Rig Crew were still in shock after the incident. No one was injured in the incident.
