Screen Printing Photo Club T-shirt design Due Date ___________

Materials:

black mounting board (15 x 20) preferred sketch book markers computer Illustrator Blank CD-R

Abstracts/Specs: A. The UVU Photo Club is in need of a new Design for T-shirts & possibly hooded sweatshirts. This design needs to look good small as a small (4x 5) and/or large up to (12x 15) sized design. The design is intended for both white and a dark colored shirts, so the design needs to work for both. You must create two designs. One design will be 2-3 colors, and the other will need to be 1 color. The one color will be black ink on a light colored shirt, or white ink on a dark colored shirt. Use pantone solid coated for your spot colors, 100% black, & a custom spot white. Design placement/s is/are up to you, but must be on a printable location. Do not use transparencies, gradients, or patterns. Incorporate required elements into the design. The design will be used on both girl and guy shirts. B. Start by researching ideas & creating thumbnails for the design, then refine filter concepts. Remember to incorporate the design placement and style of shirt into your pre planning. Submit 20 of your best refined ideas for review & evaluation. After approval, recreate your design digitally. Create a pleasing layout displaying your shirt and the Design, as well as displaying placement of Design on the shirt. Print a color version and mount it onto a black mounting board. Create Color Separations and submit all digital files on a labeled CD.
