Checklist for your exams

DO NOT BE LATE FOR YOUR EXAM! The exam door closes precisely on time after which you will not be permitted entry. Give yourself plenty of time - be outside your exam room no later than 30 minutes before to ensure you have a seat allocated to you. Some halls have up to 480 candidates to seat in this time. Bring your exam timetable to your exams. Find it on StudyNet My course/Assessment/Your exam timetable . It is YOUR responsibility to be aware of your exam room and its location. If you can t find your exam on your timetable then follow the advice on the Exams & Awards pages of StudyNet Student Support/Academic Life/Exams & Awards Office . You need to go into Examinations then the Timetables section. You must place your ID card on your exam desk. If you have lost it just prior to your exam you can obtain a temporary replacement from the Reception desks at College Lane and de Havilland 1 hour before exams commence. This service will stop 15 minutes before exams commence to ensure you are not late for your exam. Bring your Exam Number with you to your exams. This was formerly known as a Candidate Number. Find it on Studynet via the front page of your student record. If your exam permits the use of a calculator it must be a University approved one. The make is Casio and the model numbers are fx82, fx83, 85, fx260 & fx300 or any variant eg Casio fx85MS is permitted No food/sweets or drink are permitted during exams except a small clear bottle of still water. There must be NO label on the bottle so ensure you remove this before your exam. No hats/hoods or baseball caps are allowed to be worn during your exam. Please bring your own stationery eg pens, pencils as these are not provided for you. Any pencil case they are contained in must be transparent. Do not have any writing on you eg the palm or back of your hand. In exams of 2 hours duration or less you cannot return to an exam room once you have left it unless you have medical evidence to justify a period of absence (eg escorted toilet visits). ** Remember there is no late entry to exams! **
