PNC Legacy Trail Ride


Venture Outdoors and PNC Bank are putting together
the largest community ride in Pittsburgh’s 250 year
history. We invite you to join us on your bike, riding the
same path George Washington traveled on his first trip
to southwestern Pennsylvania more than 250 years ago,
to help us celebrate the opening of the Great Allegheny
Passage.

PGH Connections
Pittsburgh Connections is a program run by Venture
Outdoors at several colleges in the city and is generously
funded by the RK Mellon Foundation, Sustainable
Pittsburgh and American Eagle Outfitters Foundation. The
program strives to engage students in outdoor activities
throughout Western Pennsylvania. The core goals of these
recreational activities are to help students develop and
maintain a physically active lifestyle, build leadership
skills and increase their appreciation for the Western
Pennsylvania region.

lunchtime fishing group, the Downtown TriAnglers. Come
help us celebrate Pittsburgh’s clean rivers and great fishing
opportunities right here in downtown. Fishing instructor
Karen Gainey will be on hand to help the novice and expert
alike learn more about this great downtown destination
and possibly land a trophy catch. Pennsylvania Fishing

and scenic gorges on this day trip to Bedford County.

the horses via a network of zip lines that ran from treetop
to treetop. We were suspended 180 feet above the ground
and hit speeds of 80 mph between trees--what a rush!
