*SPEED REGULATION OF ALTERNATOR*

OBJECTIVES 1. To learn the actual procedure in determining the Efficiency of an alternator. 2. To observe the actual characteristic of it.

EQUIPMENTS 1 AC Motor 1 EE Resistive Pnel Boeard 1 Tachometer 1 DWM 1 AC Plug with Banana Plug 2 Connecting wires Alligator Clips 4 Connecting wires banana Plug

III.

PROCEDURE 1. Connect the circuit shown in figure 4.1 2. Measure Terminal voltage at NO load Vn and speed AT NO LOAD at switch off. 3. Turn on the switch and Measure terminal voltage at full load Vm, speed at full load at each setting of load using DWM. 4. Compute %SR in each setting of load.
