In partnership with the Geist Lake Coalition (GLC) and the Upper White River Watershed Alliance, the Geist/Fall Creek Watershed Alliance (G/FCWA) has completed the Geist Reservoir/Upper Fall Creek (see addn'l pages)

D. Describe the legal status of the sponsor organization, i.e., indicate what the sponsor has done to acquire official standing. State when the organization was established. List current officers/officials names. The GLC and Town of Fishers are sponsoring the G/FCWA on this LARE grant submission. The GLC was founded in 2000 and is an Indiana non-profit corporation that is in the final stages of the 501(c)(3) process(see addn'l pages) E. If the sponsor organization is a property owners or lake association, what percentage of the affected lakes residents are members of the group? F. Are there other organizations also representing residents of the affected lake or watershed? What relationship do those organizations have with the sponsor / applicant on matters related to this proposed project? The Town of Fishers, Hamilton County and Marion County Soil and Water Conservation Districts, Upper White River Watershed Alliance, and the GFCWA are all working together toward common water quality goals. G. Briefly describe the financial resources available to the sponsor organization (e.g. dues, contributions, fund drives, taxes, etc.). Geist Lake Coalition (GLC) is the main underwriting entity and the G/FCWA in partnership with the GLC will continue additional fundraising and sponsorship activities. II. Private boat launches on Geist Reservoir at the Geist Marina (11691 Fall Creek Road) or Olio Road (10997 Olio Road) ramps with fees or through the free Town of Fishers Thorpe Creek Natural Area (no ramp access).

The Thorpe Creek Subwatershed was ranked #1 for poorest water quality of the 9 subwatersheds for the Geist Reservoir/Upper Fall Creek Watershed within the Geist Reservoir/Upper Fall Creek Watershed Management Plan. What was the basis for the estimate (e.g., diagnostic or feasibility study, preliminary estimate by consultant, formal bidding, etc.)? Preliminary Estimate by Williams Creek Consulting Describe the source of any additional funding and whether this funding has been secured or is tentative: Town of Fishers has budgeted approximately $10,000 for a portion of the match. The Geist Lake Coalition will fund the remaining $7,000. F. If a LARE grant were awarded for the activity, when would the effort realistically be expected to begin? As soon as the money became available in 2012. G. If the funded activity would involve the use, lease, or purchase of land, indicate what the sponsor has done to secure permission to use the land.

H. If LARE funds are being sought for a construction project, indicate how the sponsor will administer the contract, supervise and inspect construction, and monitor the effectiveness of the constructed measure after it is completed. (Initial post-construction monitoring and construction inspection can be cost-shared as part of a construction grant).

Section 1 Additional Comments: 1C. Management Plan. Presently, the G/FCWA is working on implementing the watershed management plan. 1D. with imminent approval expected. The GLC spawned and underwrites the G/FCWA and works in tight partnership to drive water quality initiatives in the community and the watershed.
