Wheatley House Weekday Routine 2012

Monday to Friday 7.00am - All students to rise and prepare for day. - Students on clean-up duty are to meet the master on duty in the common room (at 7.00am) then go downstairs. - Duty Group Jobs to be done. - Personal areas are to be tidied before departing for breakfast. - Laundry will be open to collect clothes. - Everyone must clean up after themselves/remember manners! - Boarding master to check students dress standards are upheld - Housemaster will take morning roll and inform the Day School of any students absent 8.00am - Brief house meeting in common room (all students to attend). - All students to have left house and handed phones in before 8.10am 8.40am to 10.55am - Periods One to Four and assembly/form class 10.55am - 5 minute turn around: return to dormitory, organising books and uniform for Periods Five and Six. 11.00am - Morning tea in the dining room. You can choose to sit-in or take your morning tea out and mix with day-school students. 11.15am - Periods Five and Six commence. 12.30pm - Lunch in the Dining Hall. The Dormitory will be open for 20 minutes at 12.30pm to allow you to change uniforms and books. Each student can spend five minutes only in the dormitory. 1.10pm - Afternoon Classes commence. Ensure you are at your classroom with a couple of minutes to spare.

3.00pm - The Boarding House will reopen. - Afternoon tea will be served in the Dining Hall. - Change for recreation and co-curricular activities. - All boarders must sign-out with a Master if going on leave/cocurricular. 4.00pm-5.00pm - Recreation time. - Boarding House to be quiet to allow reading or assessment work to be carried out. - Boarders can use Library to work or surf the internet. - Boarding Master to facilitate outdoor games. - Boarding Master to take afternoon roll. 5.15pm - Dinner in the Dining Hall followed by recreational time. - Start preparing for Prep at 5.50pm. 6.00pm to 7.30pm - Prep in Boland 1 and 2. Ensure you bring all necessary items, including your diary and a novel to read - Quiet reading or playing music are great options once all homework has been completed! 7.30pm to 8.30pm - Activities time. - Supper time. Common Room to be cleaned by duty group. - Prepare to retire for evening (showers, cleaning, prepare for next day). - All showers to be finished by 8.30pm. 8.30pm-9.00pm - Quiet reading on beds. - You can also listen to iPods. - Master to collect all phones and check names off phone checklist. - Master to take lights out roll Housemaster to complete Fire Register 9.00pm - Lights out. Respect your housemates by not making noise or moving around the dormitory.
