An orange cat is walking around a garden, suddenly he sees a blue bird on the tree singing beautifully. The cat likes her song, he started singing along. After that, the cat feels hungry. He says goodbye to the bird and goes home. When he reaches home, he is so happy because he sees a bowl of his favorite Friskies. He eats them hastily. Now he is sleepy, he goes into the hall to have a nice nap.
Character of Youngsters
To include broader context by putting together the element of listening, speaking & writing, physical activity, singing. -the need of reading will come naturally
Provide variety of activities to keep them attentive: Physical activity, stand up, come in front class, some read, some listen, read out loud together
Begin reading instruction first, for them to read the simple text. Introduce words in the story not in isolation, make them understand the words.
Let them see, hear and say a word at the same time. Let them see the picture, hear the name being said, & see it written down. The spoken n written form can be acquired altogether
Provide them with opportunities to learn to love reading, by giving the chance to satisfy their curiosity about the world tru the reading material you give them to read
Give a lot of audio-visual support, make them familiar with the sound and words. By putting facial expressions, your voice and gesture to them to understand the story. Allow them to express their difficulties by some non-verbal way; by acting, drawing or doing
Create an environment to support the learning to read; label everything in classroom, keep attractive books for them to read, Pin up bulletin about pupils in class; Musa has a new baby sister Pin up instruction; Next Sunday we are going to do
