Many hands have been involved in the rebuilding of Haiti since a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck two years ago. Progress has been slow and much of the aid money has yet to be disbursed.

GETTING RID OF DEBRIS


The main priority for the UN lies in the removal of any debris, repair of damaged houses and the demolition of buildings that have been deemed unsafe. They want to encourage the return and resettlement of any displaced persons to their homes.
