Dr. Seuss uses a very unique rhyme scheme.

The book contains thirty stanzas in which: 18 of the lines begin with AB They are mostly set up in quatrains The rhyme schemes that are most common are: ABCB (used 9 times) AABB (used 3 times) AA (used 3 times)

Foot type: Anapest . Style: Anapestic Stress pattern: Unstressed + Unstressed + Stressed (uu/) Syllable count: Three Stanza divisions: 4 lines = Quatrain Dimeter (2 foot)

Dr. Seuss uses many forms of poetic elements in his book, some of which include: Alliteration: Boom Bands, With the whole world watching you win on T.V., Buxbaum or Bixby or Bray, prickle-ly perkish Personification: Your mountain is waiting Tone: the tone isnt consistent and switches from positive to negative throughout the book.
