Senator Helen Coonan wrote a letter to Senator Barnaby Joyce to follow up on their meeting regarding representations made to Telstra on behalf of former customers and contractors with disputes against Telstra. Coonan had written to the CEO and Chairman of Telstra requesting Telstra resolve the disputes to avoid further issues. She specifically requested a meeting between Telstra's Company Secretary and five former contractors who seemed to have reasonable claims requiring further consideration. Coonan would update Senator Joyce after receiving formal responses from Telstra on these matters.
