for the Development of a configuration concept for a multi FPGA platform The Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits is involved in the Heinrich Hertz communications satellite mission, which will be launched in 2016. One part of this project is the development of a reconfigurable On-Board-Processor (OBP). The digital platform of this OBP is based on four Xilinx Virtex5 FPGAs. In order to configure the FPGAs efficiently, error free and flexibly, a powerful easy to use space proofed configuration concept is required. Scope of Duties Development of a configuration concept Specification of HW and FW uniform interfaces Error free interconnection between the FPGAs Support for the command line based synthesis process Variant management with manual resource allocation Resource estimation and occupation analysis Integration in source and build versioning tools (Subversion, Jenkins) Involvement of memory links for SRAM, SDRAM, MRAM and PROM Expansion of the variant management of a graphical user interface (GUI) Prerequisites Knowledge in DSP, VHDL, systems engineering, programming Additional Information Starting date: As soon as possible Duration: 6 months, 39 working hours per week Location: Erlangen, Germany Accommodation: Available Payment: Yes We offer an open and collegial working environment as well as the freedom to advance according to your interests and abilities.
