ACISection8.1.1 Thebearingstressatthecontactsurfacebetweensupportedandsupportingmembers shouldnotexceedthedesignbearingstrengthforeithersurfaceandthebearing element.ConcretebearingstrengthshouldbeasgiveninACI318. ACISection8.1.2 Thedistancetotheedgeofthesupporttotheendoftheprecastmemberinthe directionofthespanisasleastl/180,butnotlessthan2inchesforsolidorhollowcore slabs. However,thisislessthantheminimumof2inches.Therefore,2inchesisrequired.The concretewallisanunarmoredtroweledge.Therefore,persection8.1.3,addinchtotheface ofthefoundationwallandinchfromtheedgeoftheplank.Theminimumbearingshouldbe nolessthan3inches.
