Pelidon Consult, a firm of Quantity Surveyors and Construction Cost Consultants. The Professional Services offered by the firm are in two identifiable areas, namely, Precontract and Post Contract Services. The Pre-contract Services cover the following: Provision of preliminary design cost and advising on the ultimate least cost for efficient and profitable usage to client. Assist design group in the final detailed design stage by advising on cost and specification of materials. Preparation of Bidding Documents including Bills of Quantities, specification of materials and conditions of contract. Advise and assist clients on Tender Procedures. Evaluation of Tenders and reporting of Awarding Agencies/ Authorities. Assist clients in negotiation of contracts for awards. Preparation of Contract Documents. Supervision of the signing of contract.

The Post Contract Services cover the following: Handing over of sites to contractors and explaining conditions of contract during the mobilization period of the contractor. Exercise controls of cost of project during construction period. Attend site meetings. Undertake valuation of work done and issue interim Payment Certificate to contractors. Pre-determining provisional cost of all variations and additional works and advice client on their financial implications and obligations. Measurement of variation and additional works in accordance with the terms of the contract. Prepare final account and report to client at the end of the project.

The Professional Services of Pelidon Consult are carried out by experienced Professional Quantity Surveyors with varied working periods. Fees for professional Services are based on scale of charges for Professional Quantity Surveying Services in Ghana issued by the Ghana Institution of Surveyors.
