Shared Reading: This week we read: Pat the Cat Jen the Hen Tog the Dog Zug the Bug Mig the Pig Slugs in Love Mary had a Little Lamp The Pout Pout Fish Catalina Magdalena Goldilocks has the Chicken Pox We continued to work on rhyming words. We also figured out if we can spell one word we can spell lots of words. For example: The children cut out triangles for the mountains, made cacti out of pipecleaners for the desert, crumpled green paper for the rainforest, and used pinestraw for the lowlands. On Friday, we voted on which landform to visit first! We also colored the Mexican flag for our factbooks. The children are getting very excited about our trip to Mexico!!! Journal This week we wrote about Ronin went to zoo camp. Madison is going to Red Lobster with her dad. Kamori went to the zoo. Rylan went to the zoo and Chucky Cheeses Jaslynne took her grandparents to the football game. HOMEWORK: Please help your fabulous child fill out their passport application for our trip to Mexico. She has been doing a great job. So far she has been doing shared reading with the children in the morning. Next week she will be teaching the children math games. We are very lucky to have her!

Theme
This week we began looking at the different landforms of Mexico. The children looked at mountains, the rainforest, the lowlands, and the deserts of Mexico. We then made a landform map.
