Continuation of benefit coverage requires applying for the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA). Based on your retirement in lieu of layoff, you are entitled to reemployment. The RPRS will initiate the process on your behalf within the next few weeks; you will receive written confirmation when completed. You may appeal this notice as provided by DPA Rule 599.904, unless otherwise provided by your collective bargaining agreement.
