My names Mayra and Im Brazilian, or maybe

Italian. Im not sure. Its because my mother is
Brazilian and my father is Italian. When people
ask Where are you from? I sometimes say Im
from Spain, sometimes Im from Italy and
sometimes I dont know! The problem is that I
live in Brazil for most of the year but in the
summer Im in Italy with my uncle, aunt and
cousins. Theyre from Rome.

Abbie Hook is a young and successful pop star.
Everybody likes her songs and her records sell
millions. Shes got money, shes got a fast car,
shes got a big house at the beach and shes
famous. But is she happy?

This is what Abbie says: Many people think that if

youve got everything you want, you are happy,
but this is not always true.
Her brother, Ben, is her manager. Abbie is only
nineteen and she hasnt got much experience.
Shes fortunate because she does a job that she

Abbie continues: When I go shopping, reporters
ask me about the things I buy. When Im in the
street Im never alone. People expect me to be a

Parents are not very happy about a revolutionary

project in Newcastle in the north of England, but
the local kids love it.

This is the idea: Secondary school, for children

from 11 to 18, doesnt start until eleven oclock,
which means the children dont get up at a
normal time like half past seven. They get up at
ten oclock! The first class of the day is always a
subject in which you dont write much, like art or
music, because most people dont like writing
when they first get to school. Then the children
have subjects like maths or French before they
have lunch at twenty to three.
