Jesus was begotten in the flesh, but eternal in the Spirit - John 1:14 - The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. d. No definite article before God. 2. Jesus has always Co-Existed with the Father a. Who Sits on the Throne in Heaven? - Revelations 3:21 - To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. b. 3 Gods or 1 God? - John 10:30 - I and the Father are One c. Jesus speaks possible blasphemy - John 8:58 - "I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!" d. Are you known by your character, separate from your actions? You cannot separate who you are from what you do. In the same way, the logos or the actions of God have always existed with the deity or the character of God. 3. This is the only time Jesus referred to God without saying Father. He was no longer joined with him in the Trinity so he could no refer to him as Father any more. Christianity is an invitation to join in the Communion of the Trinity as the Body of Christ
