Taking one step forward towards Online Learning, Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning (SCDL) has introduced the pioneering and innovative concept of Virtual Classrooms which enables SCDL to reach out to students from all corners of the country and abroad. The Virtual Classrooms intend to bridge the distance between the taught and the teacher. This innovative learning experience aims at creating a boundary less learning environment especially useful for a distance learner. One of the major constraints faced by distance learners is the absence of an Academic faculty to guide them and answer their queries. To overcome this constraint the Virtual Classroom and Online Faculty chat sessions have been introduced by SCDL. The Virtual Classrooms allow students to see a faculty, hear the lecturer, ask questions by raising their hand and even re-play a lecture after it is over. This creates a sophisticated learning experience similar to a live classroom. Students of distance education benefit tremendously by the flexibility and convenience which the Virtual Classroom session offers. The Online Chat Sessions allow the students to be in constant contact with the faculty and get the queries resolved on the spot while chatting on the internet.
