    Abstract

    CENTRALIZED CHECK POST MANAGEMENT SYSTEM


    Check-post management system mainly concerns with the activities of modernization and computerization of check post operations at inter-state borders under the state government. With the help of check post management system the transport department will be able to keep the tracks of record in its central database for all the check post in the State. This will generate a number of queries from the database and will help the state administration to take effective and efficient decision on time. The proposed system is developed for keeping the tracks of the vehicles moving on the highways. This system is capable to generate the queries regarding the moving vehicles in the check post. The system keeps the records of the vehicles, respective drivers and owners which help in the effective management of check post system.

    Project analysis A centralized check post system consists of the following modules. 1. Registration of motor vehicles The registration of motor vehicles

    2. Issue of the no objection certificate Check the owner of the motor vehicle for the state to state movement

    3. Issue of the certificate of fitness of the transport vehicle Any transport vehicle shall not be valid as a registered vehicle unless it carries a certificate of fitness by the central government

    4. Issue of license to the driver of the motor vehicle The authorized person tests the trainee and the license is issued

    5. Issue of permits

    Application of stage carriage permits Application of contract carriage permits Application for goods carriage permits The duration and the renewal of the permits Temporary permits

    6. Registration validity

    Check for the validation of registration for the motor vehicles

    7. Driving license validity Check for the validity of the drivers license

    8. Permit validity Check for the validity of the permits
