Second Stop: SRAM Gold Rusch Tour
QUOTE OF THE WEEKEND

I came out of the weekend feeling so energized watching so many ladies achieve their goals
HEATHER IRMIGER SRAM PRO ATHLETE

Bear Creek Lake Park, CO- The 2nd annual Beti Bike Bash in Lakewood, CO is quickly becoming a huge hit for women cyclists. What is billed as Colorados first womens only mountain bike race is drawing riders who otherwise might never step up to the line. Knowing what an intimidating place the starting line can be, Rebecca Rusch joined forces with Beti Bike Bash and the SRAM Ride Experience crew to create a demo day and skills clinic unlike any other. On the day prior to the race, Rusch was joined by 5 other SRAM pros and more than 30 participants, to pre-ride the course, discuss riding and tactical tips, be inspired and try out the SRAM 2x10 fleet. SRAM Ride Experience, featuring 2X10 MTB Drivetrain was the most popular hang out at the event.

SUMMARY: Beti Bike Bash is only in its 2nd year and is growing quickly. The location of the event is close to both Denver and Boulder, so it is accessible for a huge population of women. The riding is not intimidating and it offers the perfect venue for a race of all ability levels. World class athletes, recreational riders, and all age groups were drawn to this event because it is one of the few womens only mountain bike events in the country. The weekend expo format allowed for a whole day of clinics and demos prior to race day. Being present both days rounded out the event and offered riders time to demo bikes, pre-ride the course and mingle with the athletes.
