Catapult Optimization Exercise

The Army Corps of Engineers has designed a new catapult. Your team must demonstrate that you can accurately launch the projectile into a castle that could appear anywhere from 30 to 120 from the front of the catapult. The castle will be ~ 12X12X8 inches. The queens throne will be ~ 3 inches in diameter and be located within the castle. This is a competition between several teams for a prize!

Catapult Shoot-off
Each team will take 9 shots at randomly generated distances. Three shots will be between 30 and 59 inches, three between 60 and 89 inches and three between 90 and 120 inches from the front of the catapult. Points will be awarded as follows: One point for hitting the castle on the fly Three points for going into the castle on the fly Five points for going in the queens throne
