The Princess

I saw you at the ball

In the middle of the huge dance floor
In an instant you caught my eyes
But I was too shy to even say “Hi”
And it seemed like a dream came true
When you walked towards me
My heart began to beat fast
My body froze
And my knees trembled
You stopped and stood in front of me
Then you cast the most handsome smile I ever saw
That smile alone would have made my night
But you have such a generous heart
You offered your hand and asked me for a dance
And my thoughts got rumbled in an instant
I was about to say “yes”
But my tongue got tied
I was lost for words
And my brain got numb
And so you took my silence as a “no”
Stupid me…Stupid… Stupid…
Didn’t even moved my head to nod

And when I got out of that coma

I wanted to run after you
But it’s already twelve midnight
So I have to return my magical shoes
I just sighed to myself
And whispered in the air
“Farewell my dear”
I hoped it reached your ears
‘Till the next ball my highness
Please wait for me
On that day, I promise I’ll try not to panic
I’ll wear my sweetest smile
Only for your eyes to see
I’ll save it ‘till that day my dear
Along with your memory

So I left your palace

And a part of my heart
I travelled back to where I came from
A distant castle where I belonged
But something happened on my way home
Something Fairy Godmother had not foreseen
An old lady offered me an apple
I took a bite and I fell asleep
And the lady turned to an evil witch
I was taken to a far away tower
Where I was laid to slumber
Only to be awaken by a true love’s first kiss
If I had the right to choose who would that be
The one who’d have a taste of me
I wanted it only to be you my prince
Oh please come quick and rescue me
Don’t make me wait in vain here my dear

But fate had played a trick on me

One night I just woke up and from the spell I was freed
But there was not a sight of you my prince
And I wondered what happened to the fairytale of you and me

So I walked through the lonely hallway

With all the courage I must escape
Decided that if you didn’t found your way to me
I would be the one who’ll find the way to you
And as I slipped my glass slippers fast through the hall
I stumbled in front of another room
And I was astonished by what I had to see

It was you my prince

And another lady in slumber
You came but not for me
I thought in that scene
Should be you and me
And it tore my heart when you kissed her lips
That kiss was supposed to belong to me
You gazed at her with all your love
Your love that I thought would be mine
What about our happy ever after
When in your eyes I can see it’s over

I ran into the dark woods

Leaving pieces of my broken heart
I watered the ground with my endless tears
I cried like a river
I grieved like a defeated lover
Evil curse was broken
But I lost my love
Everything I wished for
And hoped for
Will be light-years away
Like the stars above

If I only knew it would come to this

I should have stayed in the ball
And ran after you
Even if midnight strikes
And turn me back to a pauper
I would not mind as long as you’ll dance with me forever

It’s like waking up from a beautiful dream

And found a nightmare reality
Here I am staring at a lonely sea
Wishing circumstances had been kinder to me
If only this, if only that…
That should be me…Oh holy crap!
