Resizing Photos in a Batch - Adobe Photoshop Elements Are your pictures from a digital camera too large?

Resize them all together in just a few steps. Step 1: Create two folders one for vertical pictures and another for horizontal. (Note: Pictures that are supposed to be vertical but have not been turned yet should be considered as horizontal.) Organise your pictures by dragging them into the appropriate folder.

Step 2: Decide what size (in inches) you would like your pictures to be. Step 3: Open Adobe Photoshop Elements. (PC: Start Programs Cross Curricular Adobe Photoshop Elements) (Mac: Apple Cross Curricular Adobe Photoshop Elements) If a task window opens, click Close. Step 4: Click File Automate Batch

Step 5: Set the batch options. Click Source.

Select the Horizontal/Vertical Folder.

Click the box next to Convert File Type. Select the file type of your images (most often JPEG).

Click Convert Image Size.

Here you must tell the computer the resolution that you want your pictures to be. This number depends on what you are going to do with your finished pictures. If you are only going to use them for display on a screen (such as emailing them or putting them on a website) or projector (such as a PowerPoint presentation), make it 72 dpi. If you are printing them for normal use, choose 150 dpi. If you are printing high quality pictures, select 300 or even 500 dpi.
