SHERWOOD MERRYWALKERS MEETING MINUTES FEBRUARY 6, 2012

The second Merrywalkers meeting of 2012 was held on Feb. 6th at the BBC in Sherwood and called to order by President Jane Leider. Mike Uyemura reported a balance of $1,230.85 in the treasury. A motion was made and passed to donate $200 to the Sherwood YMCA in appreciation for their support of the club.

There was no old business for consideration.

Arrangements for the Easter Egg Walk on March 31st were discussed. MaryAnn Hawke will head the Basket Brigade and Jane will send out the worker schedule prior to the walk. Jane also requested approval to purchase a $100 gift certificate from New Balance and a $50 gift certificate from REI to use as gifts for this walk. The motion passed.

Jane reminded everyone that annual membership applications and dues for 2012 must be received by March 31st. Application forms are available on the Merrywalker website (http://www.sherwoodmerrywalkers.org/membership-form.html), along with instructions for submitting them. Jane also suggested that the monitors consider adding those forms to their walk boxes.

There was no further new business, so the meeting adjourned.
