The rebuilding of a Swedish furniture classic: sten Kristiansson 1927 - 2003, Vittsj. As a student sten was studying to be a sculptor. As such he created monumental and provocative figures in stone. It was in collaboration with his brother Uno Kristiansson that the craftsman sten was recognized as a furniture designer. For example, Nordiska Kompaniet, Stockholm, and Harrods, London, bought furniture designed by sten. sten took later on the running of his father's furniture factory. With that he also inherited the legacy of producing furnitures of the highest caliber. During the direction of sten, the company continued to deliver elaborate products to partners like Ditzingers, Carl Malmsten, Ferdinand Lundquist et al. Now we launches one of sten Kristiansson's best-known products, "Hunting Chair 204, under the own brand sten Kristiansson . The chair was designed in 1954. In the same year it also was unveiled at the Triennale in Milan. The following year the chair made great success on the H55 and was sold to large parts of the world until the late 60's. The chair is now back in production by sten Kristiansson's former company and produced again in Vittsj, Skne. Hunting Chair 204 is today a piece of furniture that still turns heads at auctions in Europe and worldwide. The furniture is made entirely of Swedish components.
