Fuel cell course Assignment 3

1. A PAFC uses liquid phosphoric acid (100%) as electrolyte. Assume for simplicity that all protons are mobile and that the current density is MM00 mA/cm2. Calculate the average velocity of the protons in the electrolyte. 2. In a PEM fuel cell there is a transport of water from the anode to the cathode. (There are also other transports of water but now we consider only one of them.) Estimate the amount of water that is transported in this way per hour for a single cell if the current is MM Ampere. Give the answer in kg. As usual MM is the month you were born.
