1. REPEATED ACTIONS

To express the idea that an action is repeated or usual: ie. Routine, habit, hobby, daily event.

With adverbs of frequency: to express an action that a person always, usually, often, never does.

PRESENT SIMPLE

2. FACTS OR GENERALIZATIONS

To express beliefs, facts or generalizations. It is not important if the fact is true or not.

I am watching tv now

He is playing tennis at the moment I am going to play tennis tomorrow

PRESENT CONTINUOUS
