Network Interconnection of two or more circuit elements form a network. Circuit If the network consist of at least one closed path it is called an electrical circuit. Active Network A network that contains at least one active element such as independent voltage or current source is called as active network. Passive Network A network that does not contain any active element is called Passive network.

Current

Another definition of Current Current is symbolized by I or i where, i = dq / dt (Ampere or amp or A). The lower case i is associated with an instantaneous value whereas uppercase I is associated with constant or time-invarient quantity. The charge transferred between time t and t may be expressed as definite integral:
