February 2, 2012 Dr. Carolyn OMahony 485 C Pawley Hall Oakland University Rochester, MI 48309 Dear Dr.

OMahony: Bryce and I worked together at Michigan State University cleaning and repairing some of the campus dormitories. From August 2008 to May 2009, Bryce and I lived in an off-campus housing unit. I had lived with a combined nine houseguests before living with Bryce and he was by far the best houseguest I had the pleasure to live with. Not only was Bryce a clean, quiet, and respectful roommate, but he had a very pleasant demeanor. Bryce and I got along very well and became good friends. We still regularly keep in contact with one another despite living in different parts of the country. While attending class and working part-time, Bryce did more than his fair share in cleaning our residence. Even though his job required in part cleaning the campus dormitories, Bryce had no trouble continuing this task when he got home from work. In addition to keeping up with household chores, Bryce was a quiet roommate and gave me the boundaries and atmosphere I needed to study. One of the pleasantries of living with Bryce was he was respectful to my possessions. Our living situation required us to share many things, and Bryce was always considerate to ask for my permission before he borrowed anything. Additionally, Bryce was always kind to offer his things or his help whenever I needed. In any event I invited guests over, Bryce was quick to introduce himself and strike up a conversation. He has a very sociable, engaging personality, and an interest in meeting new people. Having moved across Michigan as a youth, Bryce has developed a great ability to adapt to new situations and new people. Given my experience of living with Bryce, I believe he would make an excellent American houseguest and represent the state of Michigan far better than any other candidate could. I hope you carefully consider his application. Best,

Scott Talaga
