AldrichPears Associates partnered with West Office Exhibition Design to take part in an international exhibit design competition for the proposed Guangdong Science Center. We were one of three winning firms which created concepts and designs for five large exhibit galleries. In the Science Detective gallery, visitors encounter a set of mysteries related to crime, archeology and nature. The Dream of Space Flight inspires the next generation of explorers to engage in the science of space flight. The Eye Wide Opener area allows exploration of surprising phenomena that visitors cannot see with the unaided eye. Visitors tinker, play and use their imaginations to create their own inventions in the Invention & Design gallery, which recreates inventors workshops, features artifacts and experimentation stations and offers live and multimedia presentations. In the fifth exhibit area, the Childrens Gallery, youngsters embark on exciting voyages of discovery, from the familiar setting of a home to the earths highest mountains, to diverse rainforest and vast open grasslands.
