today I give myself permission permission to run f ly dance

to walk just as s -l -o -w -l -y

as I want - - the more you hurry me the slower I will be ! - today I give myself permission to not be that perfect girl to soar as free and wild as a butterf ly emerging from her cocoon

to walk around with tousled hair who needs makeup today

to laugh as loudly as I want and eat chocolate in bed and pull the blankets over my head and daydream of what I want to be when I grow up

today I give myself permission to not worry to say whatever I want -right or wrong to be just who I am and what I am with no regret and not to fret if you don 't approve.

today I give myself permission to be just as kind or gentle or downright bitchy as I might feel like being oh sorry, did that of fend you ?

but today ... I won 't give you permission to see into my soul to share in my laughter to cause even one more teardrop to fall from my eyes

you see....

today I give myself permission to be simply me.
