Introduction to Buddhism Course

March 2012 (6th intake)


How much do you know about Buddhism? Are you a knowledgeable Buddhist? What is the essence of Buddhism? Do you know how to practise Buddhism? If you are keen to find out the answers to the above, sign up for the course. Organised by the Buddhist and Pali College (BPC) Alumni of Singapore, the course aims to: Introduce Buddhism to those with little or no knowledge of the subject. Prepare participants interested in enrolling for the BPC Diploma in Buddhism.

Freedom of Enquiry in Buddhism The Life of the Buddha The 3 Characteristics of Existence The Four Noble Truths and the Noble Eightfold Path Rebirth and Kamma Dependant Origination The Buddhist Texts How to Practise Buddhism The Different Buddhist Traditions 31 Planes of Existence Common Buddhist Rituals and Chanting Buddhist Meditation
